Moore & Alphin, PLLC was formed on January 1, 2000, by Richard W. Moore,
the former managing shareholder of the Raleigh office of the former Charlotte
firm Perry, Patrick, Farmer & Michaux, P.A., and Oliver W. ("Al") Alphin, a long
time Durham attorney. After Mr. Alphin's retirement, Mr. Moore became and
remains the sole owner of the Firm.
The Firm's primary focus involves representation of national, regional and local
home builders and developers in all of their legal needs, including, for example,
preparation of contracts (including contracts for land acquisition, subcontractor
and supplier contracts, and homeworner sales contracts), title examination, land
and lot acquisition, negotiation and closing of loans, zoning and land use, home
owners' assocation formation, drafting of covenants, litigation and alternative
dispute resolution, and other needs that arise. We also represent individuals and
businesses in formation and operation of business entitites, contract negotation
and drafting, bankruptcy, civil litigation and alternative dispute resolution, and
other legal issues.
